Continuing our ‘Meet the Team’ series, this week we’re introducing you to a member of our Client Support team, Lisa Godfrey.
During lockdown and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which is making ‘face-to-face’ meetings impossible, and we’re all used to meeting each other as pixels on Zoom now, we thought it’d be great to give you a little insight into all of our team from their lockdown bases.
Lisa is a member of the Client Support Team at Three Counties, with over 16 years’ of experience within the industry and is committed to ensuring that clients of the company enjoy the best possible service.
She recalls getting her start at an accountancy firm before finding her feet in a PA role at an IFA firm:
“I started my working life in an accountancy firm, where I heard about a role at an IFA firm through my parents, who knew this IFA needed a PA.
“I was told the rold wouldn’t be easy and was given a three-month probationary period – but the rest is history!
“Seven years in that firm, one year with another IFA firm and now ten years with Three Counties!”
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys days out with her family, spending time with her daughter, watching films and reading fiction. Lisa also has a fascination for haunted houses and ghost hunting!
What is a typical day at Three Counties like for you?
Busy! My working day is very varied and involves a vast number of different tasks such as preparing packs and valuations for client meetings, dealing with client queries on the telephone, opening and scanning post, processing applications for life products, pensions and investments, following up on all current tasks to see them through to completion.
What is the most rewarding thing about your job?
The completion of some of the more complex tasks is always rewarding.
What is your passion outside of work?
I love spending time with my daughter Georgia, long walks with my little dog Max, cooking, reading and when restrictions allow, spending time with my family.
What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do?
Visit New York!
What would your superpower be?
I would love to be able to read minds.
When you were young, what did you want to be when you were older?
Believe it or not, I always wanted to work in an office.
